Barrettine is a leading manufacturer of wood preserver treatments. Having developed an exciting new economical product, with it's 3-way application, this easy to clean wood treatment makes it ideal for fences, gates and sheds.
Barrettine approach us to help develop the products name, branding and packaging to help them take this product to market. Barrettine asked us to come up with a name that portrayed the products unique 3-way application, whilst also creating a design that presents the feel of a quality product and also clearly fits with the other Barrettine product ranges.
Following market research into competitor brands, we brainstormed ideas and then presented Barrettine with three potential product names – Trivium, Trio and Trinity. We presented logo concepts for each name, then following client discussions created three alternative designs for the packaging.
We provided the customer with complete artwork ready for printing in Germany and liaised directly with the print company to ensure colour accuracy and quality whilst also ensuring all the statutory and legal content was on the tub. Finally, we created 3D visuals of the final pack to be used in marketing materials to promote the product.
Following our work Barrettine have successfully launched the product at a recent trade-show and are actively marketing the product to their wholesale customers, who have well received the product and it's branding and response has been positive in terms of wholesalers taking the product. Hopefully we'll all soon see the product on the shelves in leading DIY stores and select supermarkets.
